Can heat dumping decrease injury risk?

As a sports physical therapist, I’ve seen a lot of athletes get injured when they are tired– the last ski run of the day, at the end of games, during an intense stretch of play. If loss of power, reaction time, and control, decreased joint stability, and worsening biomechanics (factors all caused by fatigue), predispose athletes to injuries, wouldn’t the delay of fatigue help to reduce the likelihood of these injuries?

Since heat dumping gives you a longer runway to work out intensely before you fatigue, it’s highly probable that proactively heat dumping throughout a game, practice, or any intense activity would not only improve your performance, but also decrease your injury risk.
